It's going to be a beautiful sunny day out today...I want to have a "Ferris Beuller's Day Off" complete with driving a fabulous car and eating seeminly free meals at fancy restaruants!  No museums though, I'd rather go ziplining or sailing!

Ok this one's a real confession since I don't talk about this to my friends offline.


So as we get closer to the wedding (54 days!)  I'm actually super, super bummed I'm not having a shower. So when I first got engaged my godmother offered to throw me one but my mom declined because she for some reason thought we should only invite people who knew my godmother, which is like 8 people on the invite list. I don't think that's how it works, but whatever.

My stepmom (ok not technically....she was married to my dad for 16 years but they divorced when I was 19 and we're still super close) has a husband that is dying of ALS. So I get why her family is not throwing me a shower. There's clearly bigger things going on. But as freaking horribly bridezilla as it sounds, it makes me really, really sad that both my cousins and my aunt on that side got really nice showers when they were engaged and I get.....nothing.

On the small upside, my work offered to throw me one. I just feel kind of sad that of ALL the people in my life, the only people who thought I might want a shower would be my co-workers, all but 3 of who aren't even invited to the AHR.

I know it was partly my own doing since I don't like showers. And I don't. They're weird. But I just see everyone else having fun and talking about their showers...I just don't feel very bride-like

Brittany, I feel almost the exact same way about the shower.  I have been married once already and had a shower, but I wouldn't mind a little something.  I am not looking for gifts or anything just maybe a little recognition or something.  I said before that FI & I went to a work meeting on Monday where they had coffee and bagels, (which they don't normally have) and then at the end of the meeting surprised us with a cake and a gift card.  I was sooooo great of them to do that for us, but neither of our families seem to be doing anything.

Another one:  I love seeing the # of views my wedding website gets daily!  I go on almost every hour daily to see if it has gotten viewed!

 Are you sending in your marriage license to your wedding planner or are you getting legally married at home? I dont think I would have a shower if it wasnt on my bday I am doing all the pre wedding festivites all in one shot. dont be upset and who knows someone may surprise you..

We're sending it in to the wedding planner, I'm starting to get worried about the day-of timeline though!!

Thats what scared me too! We decided to get married legally here and talk to planner about timeline when it gets a little closer probably around October! I am scared about the hidden extras and the photography. Man we have got to chat one of these days!

9 days wow how exciting Britt!! I confess I hate FI working 3rd shift bc he doesn't get good sleep when.he gets home at 8am he stays up until 2 pm thn sleeps until he leaves at 1030 but a guys gotta sleep!! Oh well thnk goodness for the weekends! Good luck with your marriage license situation girls!!

I confess that I LOVE the way my b-pics came out! We had the viewing yesterday and they are great. I bought it on a groupon and only 1 image in an 8x10 and 5x& would be included, and with almost a hundred to choose from, I was nervous so I told FI that this was his wedding present and for him to come and pick it out. They are super steep on prices so I didn't think getting anything would even be in the question. He loved them so much that he ordered a book!
