Everyone fair the storm okay?  Matt and I were at the Target in North Hills right before things got bad.  I told him we should check out before the power went out.  We checked out, walked to the car to put our stuff up and when we got back to Target (we were headed to REI) the power went out.  We just waited in front of the Target and watched the rain come down.  It was pretty crazy.  That had to be right around the time the tornado came through downtown.  And a few minutes before that I had texted my boss who lives in Holly Springs.  I guess a tornado came close to their house/neighborhood because their neighbors had damage.

What a crazy day!  Hope you all are okay.

I'm good and the apartment is good, didn't really get it too bad where we live (as you know Kelly). FI's parents not so much. Tornado went right through Their yard. Probably lost about 20 trees and have a leak in their bedroom. They were extremely lucky and it was very scary. I'll upload pics when we get back home!

Wow!  That's nuts.  Glad they are all okay.  I really wasn't too concerned about this weather although this came through my home town in AL yesterday. 

It's funny bc when Matt and I were leaving North Hills we were talking about the last time either of us had been worried enough about a storm to take shelter (it's been a while).  I guess we will be a little more cautious next time there is a "high" alert for weather.

I was just about to make a post about this if none of you had!  We just got out power back about an hour ago - it was pretty bad here, lots of hail.  I had a hair appointment at 4, when I got in the car the radio said tornado in Raleigh and to get inside to take cover for your life - to which I ran back inside in a panic.  We turned the news on and it showed the path coming for N Raleigh which is where our house is... FI and I closed all the blinds and got our dog and had to sit in the closet in the house for 30 minutes until it passed.  Went by about 2-3 miles from our house, luckily we are all okay and no serious damage! :)  Glad all you ladies are okay and no one is hurt

Wow, it was close to you then!  Luckily where Kelly and I are, we didn't really get it!!!  Up off 401 going towards Wake Forest, off Mitchell Mill Road, there is a neighborhood where our friends live, their house is okay, but literally the next street over, there are houses that are flattened to nothing, cars that skipped driveways, playhouses destroyed..it makes me sick to my stomach to even think about the people who couldn't be in their houses last night!

My mom already talked to my family and they're all okay.  My gma is in Wake Forest, so she was hiding in her bathroom for a while.  My aunt and uncle were okay too.  I don't think they know how their farm is though.  Glad everyone is okay!!
