Thanksgiving.

In my family Thanksgiving is all about spending time with family/friends, having a good meal and catching up on everything that has been going on.  Christmas is all about presents, making sure everyone gets something on their "list" and that among siblings that you spend the exact same amount on each. There isn't any thought or real effort behind the presents - just picking something off the list. I hate that. If we all got small meaningful presents it would be ok but I think my family hasn't evolved to that point yet.

Although I do love White Christmas the movie. I have no idea why but I do. It has crazy singing and dancing numbers and is a super old movie where it has the color that looks totally fake (almost looks like it was a black and white movie and they put color over the top). But seriously every time it is on TV I am hooked.

I hate A Christmas Story. I don't understand why so many people love that movie. It is super annoying to me for some reason.

I think that if FI and I went away on a vacation and just celebrated Christmas by ourselves I would maybe be more in the spirit?

Thanksgiving. For similar reasons as Sara. Our family's Christmas is meaningful, but I can't stand the outside world during Christmas. The consumerism is so awful during this time of year. 

For me Thanksgiving is about food and family, and that's what I prefer.
