What are you doing to keep yourself on track? I downloaded an app on my phone to help me keep track of my food intake and exercise every day.

What is your favorite workout right now? ZUMBA BABY!

What is your favorite snack? Grapes & watermelon

How did you resist the urge?? If the urge is really strong I don't fight it, just allow myself  small portions.

How did you stay motivated?? I put pictures on my mirror of body inspirations.

    Other comments/concerns??   Open for discussion

I'm trying to lose 10 more pounds in 8 weeks. So far I have lost 4.

  • What are you doing to keep yourself on track? I think I'm doing better- getting back to routine- working out every other day. Last night I was so bored so I decided to try out the 30 day shred and it wasn't too bad.

What is your favorite workout right now? I hate to work out but I like walking, I just don't have time to walk enough to consider it as an exercise though! So I force myself to run or do workout videos.

What is your favorite snack? Right now I've been forcing myself to eat grapes for snacks and it seems to be working. It's surprisgly filling.

How did you resist the urge?? I honestly don't :( I allow myself small portions like PP. I feel that I will over eat everything else if I don't get to satisfy my urge. I also don't allow myself to eat after 7 pm.

How did you stay motivated?? I kinda don't feel amazing about myself and I want to change it. I keep picturing myself on our wedding day- but as well as years from now. I want to stay fit!

Other comments/concerns??   Sometimes I feel so lazy and try to make up excuses to not exercise like "oh it's a bit chilly outside, nah I'll not run today" or "I have a bit of headache, it could get worse if I exercise". I need to stop!!!

  • I am still doing yoga and still struggling with urges.  I recently discovered THIS though: http://www.theyummylife.com/blog/2012/03/293/Overnight,+No-Cook+Refrigerator+Oatmeal+--+A+healthy+breakfast+made+in+mason+jars+in+six+different+flavors!

It's such a super delicious and healthy breakfast, and a great alternative to the hot oatmeal I usually eat. Hot oatmeal is one of my favorite breakfasts ever, but when it is warm out, I don't always crave it....this is just as healthy, but just as delicious - just different! I made a batch for myself and for fiance last night, and we both loved it. I used almond milk, honey, cinnamon, and fresh apples!

I think the best thing fiance and I do is just to scour the internet and pinterest for creative and delicious but still healthy recipes. Tonight we are making a brown rice, chicken, and broccoli casserole, mmmmm! Back when we weren't as creative, we got into ruts and would make the same things over and over, and many of them weren't too healthy. (If I let my fiance plan all of our meals, he would pretty much just rotate between burgers, pasta, and tacos....bblleecchhh).
  • What are you doing to keep yourself on track?
Thinking about my dress fitting on Saturday! I was in better shape when I bought it and when they took my measurements so I'm stressing out. I was going to yoga 5x week at that point and now it's more like 1x week and going to the gym probably 3-4x a week. I went last night for 1.5 hours. Yoga is/was so much better for my body.

What is your favorite workout right now?
Yoga - going tonight come hell or high water!

    What is your favorite snack?
It's the same every week - greek yogurt. I got oatmeal for breakfast.

How did you resist the urge??
I don't :( GIRL SCOUT COOKIES ARE THE DEVIL INCARNATE. Fiance bought 3 packages and we couldn't eat them during Lent because we gave up sweets, but now that Lent is over, it's like Girl Scout Cookies, all the time.

    How did you stay motivated??
I think that whenever I have time to go to the gym, I have to go. I never know when work is going to get crazy busy, so whenever I have some free time I don't make up excuses. I always remember that I may not have an hour free tomorrow, so I should go today! So far, it's working. But I wish it was an hour of yoga, not an hour of gym, which I don't think does as much for me.

This is what I have told myself lately, too!  With house hunting and busy times at work and wedding meetings, sometimes I just CAN"T make it to yoga. So I have to tell myself that a 30 minute Jillian Michaels DVD or a quick jaunt to the gym are better than nothing. We are house hunting again tonight so I am HOPING to sneak a 30-45 minute gym workout in between work and house hunting. It isn't fun and it's boring and it sucks but at least I will be doing something!!
  • What are you doing to keep yourself on track? We started a strict clean eating diet on Thursday and it helps that we are both doing it. FI is so good about dieting, he will eat whatever i tell him/make him.
What is your favorite workout right now? Right now I am using the gym at school (its free) as much as I can. Trying to kill it with cardio on the elliptical every day.
What is your favorite snack? Blah. On this diet my snacks are egg whites and 1 apple a day. yay.
How did you resist the urge?? I had a not so great dress fitting last week :( Unfortunately when I bought the dress (off rack), what they said could be done to the dress will be extremely difficult to do. Basically I need them to let the hips out a little and the lace is actually sown onto the dress through both layers, so she would have to remove it and then re-sew it back on which will be alot of work and $$. So... time to lose some weight! Then maybe it wont be a problem.
How did you stay motivated?? Thinking that our wedding is only 3 months away! I really want to look my absolute best, and there's no reason why I can't. I just need to stick to it. It also helps that FI is in it with me :)

I lost 3 lbs this week so far! And I feel great! We will be going out this weekend, but I plan on making smart choices.

  • dawnleanna - what clean eating diet are you following? Other than Girl Scout cookies, I eat pretty healthy, but I'm curious about different clean eating regimens.

  • dawn I am also curious!! clean eating is typically more of a mindset and an idea to stay away from processed foods - I am curious (and a ltitle concerned!) about something that restricts you to egg whites as a snack! clean eating should be a healthy life change, and isn't something that is typically overly restrictive or generally seen as a "diet".  I am no dietician, that is just my two cents!
  • Hi ladies, I'm new to this thread, hope you don't mind me jumping in.

What is your favorite workout right now? Group workouts at the park.
What is your favorite snack? Walnuts and raisins

How did you resist the urge?? I give in but control portions

How did you stay motivated?? Post pictures of me at my ideal size

<div>The diet i am doing is actually just called the Eat Clean diet. Its the same diet that they use in the Clean Eating and Oxygen mags. For 2 weeks I do a portion called Cooler 1, which is strict, but you eat 5-6 times a day. Only lean proiein and high-water content veggies plus 1 apple and sweet potato a day and oatmeal in the morning. After the first 2 weeks, i switch to a more regular diet that includes more grains, fruit and low-fat dairy. It works really well and youre never hungry, although it gets boring after week 1 lol.</div>

Clean eating is a lifestyle change. The diet I'm following right now is just a strict 2 weeks to jumpstart a weightloss plan or to lose the last few pounds. And technically egg whites are not really a snack per se but part of a meal that also includes veggies. After 2 weeks, a regular clean eating diet follows.

  • What are you doing to keep yourself on track? I'm continuing to use the MyFitnessPal app and trying to cook as many meals at home as possible and not eat processed food.

What is your favorite workout right now? I do cardio at the gym at least 3x a week (running, elliptical/stairmaster) and yoga and pilates at home. I'm finally on the more advanced workouts on my DVDs and working up a good sweat :)

What is your favorite snack? I've been getting really good fruit lately. Yum!

How did you resist the urge?? If I know I'm going out for dinner or going out for drinks I make sure to work out so I can balance the calories.

How did you stay motivated?? I wasn't eating the best last week, but I made my first dress fitting appointment for May 9th so that's keeping me motivated!! Also my boss noticed I lost weight today so that's always a good motivator!

  • What are you doing to keep yourself on track? I'm out of town for work, so I only bought healthy food for my hotel room and I am not going out to eat at all.

What is your favorite workout right now? Walking! It's snowy and cold at home, and its 75 degrees in Boston, so I have been walking at a 4mph pace everyday for at least 45 minutes.

What is your favorite snack? Fresh Fruit- for those of you that live up here I am so jealous that you have Wegman's I wish we did back home!

How did you resist the urge?? I would have to get in my car and drive to get what I am craving, and that's too much work.

How did you stay motivated?? Fiancee lost 15 pounds in the last 3 weeks, and my sister is down to my weight and has never been skinner than me in our lives, so we have a little competition going.

Other comments/concerns??   Open for discussion! I love that nice weather is coming about so there is actually fresh food I want to eat, it makes it so much easier for me to eat healthy!
