Calla lillies....

What do calla lillies remind you of? they are my favorite flower and I considering using them somehow on my std's, invites, bouquets, and bouts... But today someone, well a few people told me they are for funerals and that's what the think of when they see them!

Now I'm discouraged.... What do you think?

My other concern is do they go with beach and palm trees lol...????

Well, I never thought about that but now that you mention it, I do see them at funerals, but I don't think any more often than any other flower. I think they're totally appropriate for weddings and they are used for them all the time! I think they're beautiful Go with it!

I personally LOVE callas.  They are some of my favorite flowers.  I would not let anyone discourage you from using the flower of your dreams.  I will say I didn't like the idea of having the long stems so for my first wedding I ended up using white roses and mini callas.  My bouquet was beautiful.  

I say do what you want but if you are worried then maybe tried to add another flower or two or even use colored callas.

My friend had her bridesmaids carrying them, she had 3 with a ribbon around them, it was very simple and timeless, no one was thinking of a funeral!    Go for it!

I completely agree with the girls. Don't let anyone discourage you. When I was thinking about having a "traditional" wedding at home I was planning on using mini callas!

Not at all!  I have white Calla Lillies in my bouquet and didn't even think of funerals!

If you love them, don't listen to what others say!
