Need some creative ideas

Hey guys,
One of my old friends from high school is getting married soon and I want to find her the perfect wedding gift. I considered her my best friend when I was in high school and we have grown apart throughout the years but she is still very dear to me. She found out over the summer that she has a brain tumor and they allowed her to hold off surgery until after the wedding. I want to get her something really thoughtful for her wedding that can let her know how much I love her and that I am here for her if she needs me. I do wish that we were still as close as we were but things happen and you lose touch with people. I was at her bridal shower recently and it really reminded me how much I love this girl and miss her in my life. I feel so sad that she is going to go through this surgery and I want her to know that I do love her and miss her...thought it would be cool if I could incorporate this message somehow in a gift.

I know you guys are super creative and can help think of an awesome wedding gift ! Thanks

Do you have a lot of photos together? I always think putting together a scrapbook or album with old photos is always great and meaningful.

I like Lora's idea. Maybe something to help her relax like a day at the spa.

I was going to say the same thing as Lora, too!  I LOVE getting old photos... a scrap book kind of thing!  A day at the spa is awesome too!  And, I'd get a really sweet card... or maybe even old school it - hand write her a note (like we passed around in high school before texting haha) on some nice stationary and tell her all of that - how much she means to you, what a special person she is, etc...!!  I think it would mean the world to her!

So sorry to hear about her going through this!  That is awful!  Hopefully it is non-malignant???  Keep us posted on her progress!

That is a great idea ! I will have to go through all of our old photos....hopefully I can find them all! No it is not malignant but it is in a dangerous place so it makes it more complicated. Maybe a couples spa day would be good!

And we always passed notes ! What a great idea! In fact I still have a lot our notes lol

I was going to ask the same thing about photos. A friend of mine had her grandmother pass away about a year and a half before her wedding but it was still hard on her, so I made her a wedding album (I make albums as a hobby) and used her grandmother's veil on the cover. She loved it.

I had lost touch a lot with my best friend all through highschool and recently started majorly reconnecting (we never totally lost touch, but you can only get so far with texts and facebook as we both travelled all over the country). He's now my MOH and part of my thank you gift to him is a Scrapbook with old photos right through to more recent ones (making sure I get some at the showers and the bachlorette lol)

Also leaving a spot for a photo at the wedding too
