Groom gift

What are you ladies planning to give your FI on your wedding day? So far I got a tie tac made with a map showing Waikiki on it since that is our wedding location.

Re: Groom gift

  • I was thinking of a baby tree for our new house, so it can mark our wedding and then "grow" with us.  Cheesy, maybe, but my parents have my and my brother's tree from when were in grade 1, and I really like that they're still in their backyard.

  • I got D vintage tiki cufflinks, a vintage tapa print tie and a vintage handkerchief. I wanted to get him more, but it's not really in the budget.
  • FI and I agreed we're just doing a letter to each other. I am going to cheat though and have the 'incase of cold feet' socks brought to him the morning of just because I know that he'll get a laugh out of them lol
We talked about it though, and figure that being there, together, is enough of a gift, so that's not something we want to try to budget for.

I did this for my first wedding, it's an apple tree.

I don't really have much in my budget either, so I think the tie tac may be it.

  • I like this post because I need ideas. I kind of wanted to do something "sexy" without having to do the photo shoot...I am bad in front of cameras.......and something "sweet" from the heart. I really like the letter idea...I may do a book with pictures of us throughout our relationship and leave room for the future. Maybe put quotes throughout.

  • We didn't do gifts.  We thought that being together on our dream dw was enough.  3 weeks in Hawaii was already a big splurge and really did not want to pay for anything else.

  • We weren't going to get each other anything but I thought if I saw something that caught my eye in Maui I would get it for him anyways! I bought my husband these kona wood cufflinks at this jewellery store in the Whalers village. As soon as I saw them I knew I had to get them for him, they are locally made and he'll have them forever. He loves them!!

  • We haven't really talked about it recently.  A while ago we talked about getting matching Movado watches.  We found a set at the outlets that was a really good price but I am not sure if its really in the budget.

  • We all know I'm doing a B-pic album with my hand made swarvoski bra (which is taking me FOREVER) to do! lol  but I wanted to get him something else to, but I don't know what or what my budget will allow.

We are also going to get somewhat matching tattoo's together since we are both into the tattoo thing (probably when we come back) but we haven't decided on what.

  • I'm getting FI a plug-n-play joystick Ms. Pac Man game.  I already got him Pac Man cuff links, that he LOVES and wants to wear so bad.  I'm not keen on spending $200 on a game, but it makes him happy and it'll keep him entertained until he breaks it.
