Would Do/Wouldn't Do

Would Do

- Have a Destination Wedding! Everyone loved the resort, the place was GORGEOUS! I loved being able to 'get away' for some time away with family and friends before and after the wedding to celebrate! They handled SO much for us (the resort staff that is) that it also made things so much easier!

- Have 7 Kids in the wedding lol - I know we had a lot of peopel telling us leading up to it that we were going to regret our choice because you can't control them, something will go wrong, bla bla bla... but at the end of the day I look back and am happy to say that I included every one of our nieces and nephews on our big day and wouldn't have it any other way!

- Wear my mother's dress. There were times that not knowing the finished result stressed me out, and other times that I regretted missing out on the 'dress shopping' experience, but it turned out even better than I could have hoped! It looked gorgeous, and my mother's reaction made it even more priceless!

- Get married at Taboo! The resort was gorgeous and the staff was AMAZING! I honestly don't think I could have pulled the day off without our coordinator Nicole! The rest of the staff treated us like gold the whole time :)

Wouldn't Do

- Stress so much about the weather leading up to it... It rained on our wedding day and we had to go with our rain plan, and you know what? It was beautiful and gorgeous and I loved my wedding day. Make sure you have a plan for good weather AND incase of rain, and then just let it go... don't let yourself stew on what's going to happen, its not worth it... You can't change it anyway!

- Worry so much about who was going to make it. Sure, make sure everything is going to work ok for your 'must haves' whether thats mom, dad, grandparents, siblings... but after that just let it go and let life happen. I had a friend message us a couple days after apologizing for being a no show, and to be honest I didn't even notice he didn't show the day of.

- Over value the little details while planning. I spent DAYS getting the programs 'just right', and then we didn't even have them out because we forgot them. Fact is, no one noticed lol Sure a few personal details are important, but don't make yourself sick worrying about getting every little thing JUST right
