Lasik Update

Hi ladies!!

I've been MIA for awhile. I had Lasik on Friday and am finally getting back to work today. It turned out great. Right now I'm at 20/25 and they expect it to only get better within the next month. The type of Lasik I had is a slower recovery time but less risk for complications.

Thanks for all the advice and well wishes! :)

  • WOO HOO!!!  So glad you're doing great!  Although its not 100% perfect yet, I bet you can totall see the difference.

I have to ask, what was the most exciting moment for you?  I know mine was waking up from my nap and being able to see the alarm clock and to be able to read the ticker on ESPN, lol

I think the most exciting moment for me was actually right after the surgery. I thought I would be able to see nothing. I got up and was able to see the clock clearly in the surgery room.

That's even better!  That's great you could see right away, that was the most frustrating part for me (like I think I had mentioned before).

    I'm so excited for you!

I definitely did not want to get it done but my FI swore by it so he was able to convince me. If you are concerned about risks, think about getting epi-lasik. That is what I got done, less risk involved but it is a way longer recovery time. I know you are in the Chicago area so message me if you want more information about my doctor or more specifics about the surgery.

  • Congrats on the surgery!!! I had it done 4 years ago and it was so nice!! I could see the clock immediately after, which totally made the price worth it.
  • so glad everything came out great!!!
