So with FI gone, and me left with no car, I decided to try to be somewhat productive last night.... we did go shopping for some DIY supplies before he left, but they were sold out of the ribbon for my ribbon roses so I have to wait until next Wed when they get their next shipment.
I did pick up really pretty wooden frames and little black photo albums. I will fill them with engagement photos and mail one album and one frame to each of my grandmothers with a Valentines Day card. They live 6 hours away, so I don't see them all that often... I know they'll love it
Then I put some more work into the new KK. It needs another coat or 2 on the background colour to make it an even colour without brush marks. I also will paint on the border (I have 2 diffferent colours for that) and add the scrapbook extras I picked up
You guys will have to wait until its done for the 'grand reveal' lol
After that I tackled a DIY project. I had picked up these little wooden signs for $1 each and plan on making our Thank You signs out of them. We want to be able to do custom thank you cards with a picture similar to this one:
I put 6 coats of white paint on to get an even colour and get rid of brush strokes, and then added the black border. I haven't started the words yet, tonight or tomorrow maybe? I did have one thing I'm stuck on though, and here's where the poll comes in. I am trying to decide whether to put a ribbon rose on them. I kinda like the pop of colour, and figure I will put one on it a different spot on each (maybe top left corner of Thank and bottom right of You?). What do you think?
