Bought your flight for your DW ? If not, when do you plan on purchasing ?

Re: Have you ....

  • We purchased them the day we booked everything. We thought $750 was a great deal from NY to Hawaii so we jumped on them. The price from Philly to Hawaii was $950. I haven't looked to see if the prices are cheaper but now I'm curious!

  • I'm a yes for our tickets there, but not for our tickets home. hehe Maybe we won't come back....   Actually, we will be getting our tickets home probably this month.

  • We just kind of watched flight prices.  I bought our tickets home before I bought our tickets there, bc I was convinced they'd run a special for a Tuesday flight to Key West... and they did!!!  Now I'm so glad I jumped when I did b/c these prices just keep skyrocketing!

I'd say we bought our tickets home about 2 months ago, and just got our tickets there about 2 weeks ago.  Wedding is April 20th! :)

  • I've purchased tickets for the 2 times I'm going out before, but FI and I haven't decided on travel plans for the actual wedding just yet.  I'm thinking I should be out a week before, but he wants to drive so I'm thinking I'll fly out, then drive back with him.  He still thinks we have plenty of time for everything, and I want to get plans now!

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
  • We haven't purchased anything yet.  We are waiting for at least our tax returns to be done.  I also want to see if we can get a direct flight from St. Lucia to NY.  It gets a little convoluted since we are flying to FL and then to St. Lucia from there.

  • The reason I am curious is because FI & I have NOT purchased ours yet. I am thinking of pulling the trigger on purchasing but I have noticed that airfare is so much cheaper if we were flying in March, April, May. I am thinking they may go down in the next month or so. But then again I do not want to risk it and they sky rocket ! Decisions Decisions...........

  • I haven't completely purchased them yet, but I did put deposits down on all 8 tickets that I need to pay for. (I'm freaking out about it just writing that!)

I need to have them paid off by April 30th, but I'm pretty sure they will be paid off in March.

The fluctuating prices of airfare always gave me anxiety.  I had to just buy them early and not think about it.

  • Bought ours as soon as they dropped to the lowest I'd seen them in months.  They were the same as when they were first released, but we weren't sure on when we were going to travel then.  Got a good deal

  • I tied up my money placing a deposit on the air for our entire group. We needed the deposit on that before our due date we set for everyone. I've started to get my money back on that, so hopefully I will purchase soon.

  • Thankfully we don't need plane tickets!
