Not looking forward to RSVP calling

We have 198 people invited. As of today 131 have RSVPd. Problem is majority 40/67 we are waiting to hear from is FI friends and family. My FSIL who married FI brother in Feb. had this same issue. I shouldnt have to call grown adults to send back something that is PRE STAMPED! FI dad called his mom the other night and urged her to get their RSVP in to me on time. She replied with "why?" I can understand the younger generation doing this but the older generation? Come on! With sundays and holidays there is 11 more mailing days until the 31st. 

FI and I are going on a family camping trip memorial weekend and I would like to think Im going to come home on Tuesday to a mailbox full of RSVPs. *Wishful thinking*

When is your RSVP date? You still have plenty of time to get them in.

And, if your RSVP dates comes and gos and you still have a lot MIA, then I think your FI and you should just split the list and call. It sucks, but nothing much you can do about it. Maybe FMIL or MFIL will offer to help since it seems it will mostly be his side.

You still have plenty of time.  Are these people coming from out of town and trying to figure out travel arrangements still? I know a lot of my friends texted me (already after only 2 days) saying they had to make travel arrangements before responding.  I know FI's family has the same thing, they have been researching flights to try and make it but its expensive sometimes. I would say split the list and have FI call the majority of his family, unless they are people you already know.  Best of luck!

May 31st. All the people from out of state and city all rsvpd yes! lol Its the young 20 somethings who live within the city limits who are straggling. I know I have plenty of time but it drives me nuts to think of how many phone calls I am going to have to make to able adults!
