monterey wedding cake or monterey area wedding blogs?

i'm getting married in pacific grove on the monterey peninsula, and i was hoping someone could recommend a bakery for a wedding cake. also, i'm looking for a good wedding blog from that area. something like snippetandink or stylemepretty but that's based in monterey? i appreciate any feedback!

    i am assuming that you are now married...i was wondering where you ended up having your wedding and reception.  i am trying to find places in monterey and any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Layers in Monterey get's rave reviews and I have had some friends who used it for other types of cake besides wedding cakes.  They loved it.  They can be a little pricy.

    Another option is a woman named Reba.  She runs her business from her home in Carmel   We are using her for our wedding cake and she is doing a special shaped groom's cake for my rehearsal dinner.  Her sample cakes were super delicious!!!  And she is a lot less expensive than others because she doesn't have the overhead of a storefront.   http://www.sweetrebas.com
