Napa restaurant recs

Spinning off from sm23's post..... we are planning on getting my dad and stepmom a gift certificate to a restaurant up in Napa as their thank-you gift.  They haven't been to Napa yet since they live on the east coast.Do you ladies have any recs for restaurants?  I've been to a few places, but they have all been a little more casual.  A nicer restaurant is ideal, just not as expensive as French Laundry.TIA!

If you want to stay in Napa here are some options: Fume, Allegria (ask to sit in the converted bank vault), Cole's Chop House, Celadon (in the new remodeled riverfront area). Upvalley: Bouchon, Bottega, Redd, Mustards, Go Fish. HTH

Ad Hoc, also Keller, every night they do a different prefixe. We went to a New England style lobster bake for our first night as a married couple, so good! I also like Brix and Redd
