Veils...

The closer i get to "The Big Day" the more questions i have!! & i think the best place to ask them is here =)Here's the dress I bought w/ the bolerohttp://www.morilee.com/DressDetail.aspx?C=1&D=2215&P=1and i can't seem to make up my mind on the kind of veil i want.... =/ i know i want something traditional for the ceremony at my church but i don't want to spend a fortune on it. Especially cuz i don't want to wear it at the reception. I really like the look of birdcage veils too. i've seen some really good prices on Etsy.com but jus wanted to know if having two veils is jus TOO much???

I am with you on the whole veil thing.  I thought finding a dress was hard...selecting the right veil for my dress is much harder. If you ask me, having 2 veils is TOO much.  You are only going to wear it for the ceremony and take it off so no need to spend that money.  With your dress, stick to traditional veil, not the birdcage...birdcage is more for simple and contemporary plain dress. If you can find a veil that has edges to match the design of your dress, it will look awesome.

Pretty dress!!! I love the hem of the skirt! I might not be the best person to ask - I bought 3 veils because I was so indecisive! In the end, I decided to go with a plain cut edge chapel length veil for the ceremony and a birdcage for the cocktail hour and reception. I don't think it was too much, but I could see how other people might disagree. Go with what you want, it's your day! FYI - Obridal.com has great veils for a great price.

Your dress would look good with a mantilla lace veil. Some mantilla lace veils are very lacy around the borders but then there are the ones with not so much lace which would look nice with your gown.  I got a cathedral length one at www.weddingveil.com for a great price.

Thanks ladies! I think mantilla veils are very pretty but I don't want to over do it w/ the lace...& the lady @ the bridal shop said to look for something simple to keep my dress (that is very, let's say "busy") the focal point. I REALLY LOVE how ur wedding turned out Anhngo!! Everything was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Our colors are very similar. Mine are deep purple and magenta! =DSo I think I'm gonna go w/ something like an elbow length or maybe chapel... w/ a lil sparkle/ bling for the ceremony and then a small birdcage for the reception... the birdcage I seen on etsy has a gorgeous facinator that is detachable so I can wear it to the cermony too!! Thanks a billion for all ur advice and comments girls! <3
