I would say that's average, depending on their experience and style. Personally I wouldn't spend $3500 unless I was getting a real album.

Thank you so much for your opinion and reply. This is so difficult. I am seeing other photogs who charge that if not more for less time and no engagement session. Ugh!

I think it's a bit high, dig around some more and you can find someone that will do a lot more for either the same price if you are ok with it or cheaper. We are paying about 2k for 7 hours, 2nd photog, 1 year online gallery, a huge magazine style book, all of our negatives on a CD, all the edited photos on a CD and i think 50-100 printed pictures of our choosing that we will put into an albu for our paretns.

Wow! May I ask what photographer you are using?

I think the best way to decide if it is too high is to take a look at the work that they do. And compare it to a handful of other photographers and their rates. If you'd like, you can share with us the photographer's website and we can tell you if we think it's worth it. As with clothing, houses, cars and almost everything else in life, you usually get what you pay for.

Well said anhngo!Given these are last years prices since I booked a year in advance... but I paid $2700 for 10 hours on the wedding day with a primary and second shooter, an e-session, all the digital negatives, a 20 page album, online gallery, etc. We added 2 parent books for another $800. And my photog has awesome style!I wouldn't have spend that on a lot of other photographers I've seen... but I would have spent $4k on Tinywater... lol... but I didn't.

After taxes our final price is 2888. We are getting 6 hours, 2 photographers, 20 page album, free e-session, and we absolutely love her work.

Anhngo- Your photos are BEAUTIFUL!!! I loved every single one of them. Your advice is so true, thank you for that. I will certainly take that into account going forward :-) Here is the wedding photographer I was speaking of. What are your thoughts? http://www.cfoto.com/ Thanks!

Another knottie (or two) used Chyna Darner and they were really happy with their pictures. But I'm pretty sure that was when she was less expensive. For the price, package, and her style, I'm not sold that it's a good price.
