any embossing tips

Help! I have bought all the tools to do some embossing on my invitations (DIY). It seems like I can't get equal parts of ink/ebossing powder. I'm about to scratch the idea and either buy a black ink stamp or other invitations. TIA!

Are you using an embossing stamp pad, or just a regular stamp pad? I think that may make a difference. They were right next to each other at Michaels when I did this, and luckily grabbed the actual embossing ink. What is your process? Stamp in ink, powder, tap off, heat tool?

Yes, I bought the special ink for embossing. I have the embossing buddy, ink/stamp, powder, heat tool.

Make sure that your ink pad is well inked. I find that after doing a lot it gets harder to emboss. This is one of those times where more ink is ok. Are you coating the whole area that was stamped and giving it a few moments to settle before pouring it off? Good luck!!! keep practicing cause it looks amazing when done.
