Last task...Wedding DJ...stressed!

Last task on my list...getting the DJ for the CEREMONY and RECEPTION.  I have been really struggling with this one.1.  80 people2.  Want to pay around 5003.  Need ceremony and reception music4.  It's really simple for our wedding...just make few announcements and play slow songs throughout the day.5.  Daytime wedding....no boogying and partying hard...crowd is traditional!Anyone out there who paid that price and was happy with their DJ???????  Please let me know.  I have like 7 on my list and more are out there as I'm searching more and more and now I don't know who to trust and pick!  Don't want to search anymore...really tired!

I am using: Platinum Entertainment Group. They were highly recommended to me by a co-worker and Dan is awesome! They are located out of Petaluma, but I am in San Jose and they are doing my wedding. GREAT PRICE too, within your range.Email: dan@platinumentertainmentgroup.com Website: www.platinumentertainmentgroup.com

I paid about that and our dj sucked. So I don't have a recommendation for you.

I'm working with someone now.  I can't recommend them yet, but so far I am a little frustrated.  Is it me, or do vendors ignore you once you pay them a deposit?  He didn't even want to meet to go over the final details.  He preferred to do it over the phone- all after he had me fill out a 6-page document of highly detailed information that I barely understood!

Yellen, I am on the same page with you on that with DJs.  They are super eager to talk to you and tell me about how great they are....I've even read some of the long page contracts and I ACTUALLY read all the fine prints and some were so ridiculous that I didn't sign them at the last minute.I'm afraid that once I give them the money, I don't really know how they will turn out until the wedding day and by the time I realize I picked a wrong one, well...it's too late I guess.  ***I'm in Sacramento if anyone else want to throw me some recommendations.
