NWR: Job Sites?

I am currently looking for a job and I have been scouring craigslist and sending out my resume to multiple postings. Are there any sites that you would recommend or have used in the past that were particularly useful for the bay area? Anything that you feel helped you land your job in the tough economy? I feel like all of these sites are just full of spam and its starting to get frustrating. If it's helpful...I am specifically looking into Education or just a basic office job I really don't care what the pay is either. I hope this doesn't go against the rules, I just really need some more places to look and you gals seem to help me with everything! if it does goes against the rules then I apologize and you can delete it at any time. Thanks!

Have you tried local temp agencies?

I really recommend working with recruiters. Look for recruiters in your specific field and send your resume to them. Follow-up with a call if needed - they can get really busy. Companies pay for the recruiter's services, so you're not paying to be placed. Also try directly through company's websites! Good luck!

I work for a local government agency and we post all of our openings on www.calopps.org Many other local agencies also post there if you are looking for public sector employment. GL!

I second the recruiter suggestion.  Also, if you are looking at particular agencies or companies, look at their direct sites and follow up with them directly for job openings and listings.

Have you looked on Edjoin?? It has education jobs and you can search by district. Page me if you have any questions. FWIW, I am looking too, and it is just frustrating right now. Everywhere.

just a suggestion have you looked at preschools?? kindercare and kiddie academy and places like that. sometimes the preschoolers get overlooked and they are the most fun and entertaining group to work with.
