Giving Tip to Makeup Artist?

I just booked a makeup artist for the wedding day. I know I tip at the hair salon but for the makeup artist...not sure...Do I tip after the service, if so what %? Thanks.

My MUA came to the hotel and did my makeup and yes, I did tip her. I think it was about 20%.

by the way, i'm going to her shop to get the makeup done...if that makes any difference. Also, my MA is Shana Beals...if anyone went to her shop to get the bridal makeup done....will you let me know the % tip? so that I won't do too little...

Yes I would tip whatever you think is reasonable

Personally, I would still give about 20% even if I went to her shop. I see Shana for facials and I give her about 15-20% tip for a facial.

I tipped 20% when I went in for my trial at her studio. TJ - Mary, what facial do you usually get? I think I am going in for one about 2 weeks before the wedding. I want to say that Shana suggested getting a papaya one. Not sure though.

I got several before the wedding...probably like 4 every couple of months?? I booked Shana in March so I had some time. I think for the first one she did the papaya because it's the most gentle out of all the ones that she does. Every time after the first one she bumped me up with a little more of the glycolic peel each time. THe last one that I got was on Tuesday before the wedding. I found that my skin stayed perfect for about a week and a half after the facial which is why I got it early in the week before the wedding. She's awesome...good luck!
