We spent forever making a card box while watching college football. We also bought the last of the decorations that we need for the reception. Wanted to get more done, but that will do. Oh and on saturday we got two rsvp's back! Both yeses.

On Friday, we got our marriage license.  We followed that up with ring shopping (very behind the eight ball on this) and a date night.  The Cheesecake Factory has a red velvet cheesecake that is to die for.  Seriously!Saturday, we went to my cousin's wedding.  The ceremony was forever long...and this is coming from someone who is having a Nuptial Mass.  They did a hand ceremony, a ring ceremony, a rose ceremony, a sand ceremony and lit a memorial candle.  The reception was enh.  There was a short open bar during 'cocktail' hour and tracking down something to eat was difficult.  The dinner was boring and barely any food.  My biggest complaint was that there were barely any servers.  I had to track someone down to get water.  FI found the service station and 'stole' coffee for my mother and aunt.  It was just weird.  We learned a lot of what we do not want to happy at our own event.  Sunday, we spent doing nothing productive.  We took the dog for a long walk.  We realized it is our last Sunday at our place in SD.  We will be in Nor Cal this weekend, and then we are packing up and moving out the next weekend.

I was home sick all weekend, but it turned out to be a good thing. I started emailing photographers and DJ's.

i had my second bridal shower this weekend. good times. i really appreciate my friends and family for all the work they did to decorate and make yummy food and take the time to be there. i still think opening presents in front of a group of people is extremely awkward and i feel like i'm seven years old. but no time to dwell on that cuz our wedding is in a month. yikes!

We went to the air show in Sac on Saturday.  It was amazing.  I didn't think it would be nearly as fun as it was.  The planes were incredible. On Sunday we went to hang out with one of FI's best friends and his wife.  We haven't seen them in a long time.  He's one of the GMs in our wedding and his wife offered to help with anything I need.  It was great to see them.  We didn't get anything wedding related done.  I did my invitation mockups last week and we were going to try to get a first draft of our menu done this weekend, but I had a feeling we'd run out of time.

I haven't been very chatty on this board - but I'm hoping to change that - so I'll jump in on this thread. :) Nothing wedding related this weekend - except that we narrowed the std font down to two options.  Luckily I have some time.  We're awful about making up our minds!Spent some time at the dog park on Sunday and got rained on a little.  Oh and I did find some cute wedding scrapbooking stuff.

Lets see I was busy all day saturday but sunday I started the wedding programs which are cootie catchers I think I ahve folded about 30-40 80 more to go. I am folding at work as we speak. I also ordered my centerpieces from fifty flowers what a deal and my flowers for the bouquets. I also ordered the rose petals for the aisle.

I sat my butt down and wrote all the Thank You cards for my shower gifts! Big relief there.

Stopped by my venue to check out another reception setup and ask more questions.  They are just fabulous and the place gets more gorgeous every time I visit. Checked out possible hotels - need to decide between two (Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inn). Checked out possible rehearsal dinner locations - can't fathom spending so much per person for dinner right before our big expensive wedding.  Thinking of maybe doing hotel catering in-house?Got estimated costs for my ideal invitations - um, $2500 is a bit steep!  Thinking DIY is the way to go!Went over the wedding checklist with my mom to figure out what is next. Asked my nonbridesmaid friend to contact my MOH/sister to discuss bachelorette and shower.  Need to start early since two of my bms are across the country.Need to contact my cousin, the officiant, from back east to see if he's still in, now that his sister is 6weeks pregnant and he will have a new niece or nephew (and the first grandchild in our entire family) right less than a month before our wedding.  Yikes!
