Looking for places around Napa

A friend of mine is getting. She is from Napa. She is willing to look as far as concord and fairfield and has looked at a place at stintion beach. She has a very small budget. Can anyone rec some places that are good for a budget. tia

Hi Tia,I don't have any specific recommendations on places, but www.herecomestheguide.com is a great resource for california wedding venues. I used it to find all the ones I checked out. They also usually have pretty good pictures and some basic pricing info for each venue. www.projectwedding.com has some good reviews of venues too.Good luck!

There are a few parks around Sonoma (not too far from Napa!) that seem more reasonably priced than most of the wine-country places I looked it. I think the Jack London park is pretty neat, it has an old stone wall there and a backdrop of the rolling vines and hills. I think there is also a community center in Yountville (theres one in Sonoma too) that doesnt cost too much to rent and you can bring in your own food and stuff. They looked pretty nice online.

Try Lake County. It's just to the north of Napa co. and "undiscovered" wine country every bit as charming and beautiful. But it's way cheaper. Everything is cheaper. Here you can go to almost all of its 25 wineries and taste wine for free! And caterers charge around $15-$26 per plate of great food. Florists start at $800 and a three tier cake at $200. It's one of the cheapest places to live in CA. Probably because it's so remote surrounded by mountain ranges and the north side of the lake is pretty grungy. But Keseyville, Lakeport, Upper Lake, Cobb and Middletown are all great!
