seamstress in Bay Area?

CA knotties,This is my first post to the message board- I hope I'm not repeating a frequent question! I went to Filene's Basement ROTB and fell in love with a Maggie Sottero satin mermaid dress, though it's a few sizes too big. I'm looking for an expert seamstress but don't know many people in the area. Any recommendations?Thank you!

    I highly recommend Anne Ventresco in Oakland. She's making my dress, and has done alterations for many Norcal Knotties. Here's her email: Annesews@jps.net.I know a lot of girls in the East Bay also liked Si Arima.

    I definitely recommend Si Arima. We had fallen for a Pronovias that was hugely on sale and about 8 sizes too big (and long). I'm a lot shorter than usual and we knew we would need to have alterations done already, so we couldn't say no to the dress and took it to Si. She was really talented (and sweet), and almost had to completely re-make it but you couldn't tell the difference at all. She also charged us less than half of a quote we received elsewhere. (I've also heard a lot of great things about Anne too)
