It's been about 2.5 months since we got married, but I'm finally getting these done and wanted to share. Hope all the planning is going well!Venue-Garre Winery, Martinelli Center, Livermore: AWe had a pretty good experience with our site coordinator and the staff at Garre. She always emailed back within 24 hours, was accomodating to store stuff the night before our wedding. The day-of went off without a hitch!Photographer-Blue Lotus Photography, Pleasanton: A+++Josh and Sandra were amazing to work with! We've received our pro pics and they are absolutely wonderful! This husband and wife team was so fun, really making us comfortable with taking pictures. They have an outstanding talent. I could go on and on about them, but I'll spare you. Let me know if you want to know more!Cake- Jen's Cakes, San Jose: A+Jen and Anthony were great to work with. They helped us make our vision of our cake/cupcakes come to light. Anthony gave some suggestions which was very helpful. The cupcakes were so tasty, moist, and exactly what we wanted. The detail on the top of the cake was exactly as it looked on our invitations. I'd definitely use them again!Flowers-Private vendor-AOur florist was my friend's mother's friend...if you can follow that! She does alot of events at St. Mary's College. I did my best to explain what I wanted and she made it real. One snafu was that she forgot a boutinerre, but our DOC's fixed that real quick. The arrangements and bouquets were gorgeous!Day-of Coordinators-Elegant Soiree, San Ramon: AErin and Cameron made the day go so smoothly. They kept us on our timeline and helped set up the decorations, something I couldn't worry about the morning of. They made it all look so easy and everything was on time-even our ceremony started RIGHT at 5pm. Love it!Dress-Clarissa's, Walnut Creek: A+I worked with Roxanne at the dress shop and she was fabulous! She spent alot of time with me on my first visit, sharing her honest feelings about dresses and gave suggestions. When I had my final fitting, she came out and saw me dressed and had tears in her eyes. It meant alot, especially doing the fittings by myself. The seamstress there was wonderful, too. Everyone at the boutique were so friendly and made me feel very comfortable.DJ-Amos Productions-Rick Mustafa, Livermore: A+Rick kept that dance floor full which is what we wanted! He knew how to keep people on their feet, dancing. He respected my must-play and do-not play lists. I was anal and made lists of what I wanted played and when....with some room for requests and Rick made it happen! Excellent!Linens-Pleasanton Party Rentals, Pleasanton: AThe staff at PRR was helpful and accommodating. When they couldn't get the specific table cloth we wanted for one extra table, they suggested what would look good, which was helpful. Their linens really spiaced up our reception.Accommodations-Sheraton, Pleasanton: BAt the start of our searching, the Sheraton was very helpful and provided what we wanted. They handed out the OOT bags and our guests didn't have any complaints. We wanted to have an after-party at the hotel, but due to another party already reserved, they said they would give us a side room with the same furniture and a bar. The "side room" was a conference room and didn't have the furniture they said it would. Our guests were uncomfortable because it was not welcoming. We were able to move to the regular bar when the other party left, but many guests just went home at that point. Also, the day before our wedding, I received an email, saying the honeymoon suite was out of order because of damages. They comped us a corner king room which was fine since we were SO tired, but it was a bit annoying.I think those are our major vendors....if you want to know any more, let me know!
