Stressing about photographer

So I've looked a few photographers and I've found a few I like....One offers a Package for about $1800, with two photographers, rights to photos, album, cd, etc. I looked at her online stuff, and she gave me the links to two albums to look at. I really liked one, and the other I didn't like. It just didnt' seem sharp, or really nice.Another, for the basic package, $2,850. I think her work is beautifu but that's a bit more than I wanted to spend. She does not mention two photographers, which is important to me....I'd like photos to be taken while I'm getting ready and someone taking photos of FI with his family, etc. I don't want to take a ton of photos after the ceremony. With the second photographer I also get an album, cd with photos and I think I have rights to photos, I'm checking on that still.I just dont' want to pick the wrong one. The pros of the first photographer are cost and two people. But I like the photos the second takes so much more....but she's expensive and I really want two...

Did you check reviews? Which photographers are you considering?Check with the second photographer to see if she offers two shooters.

That tough, but in the end you want to be happy with the pictures cause they are going to be around for a while... maybe talk to the 2nd one and tell her what you like and don't and what your price range is, and maybe she will work with you a little.

I would keep looking. I like Allison Stahl much better than the other one but I can't find reviews on either which is a big red flag! You can find someone with 2 shooters that will give you the images for around the same price as Allison... and has reviews!Let me see what I can dig up.

I would do one of two things.  I'd either keep looking for another photographer that I liked but was within my price range or talk to the one with better photos and see if she's willing to work with you.  I got my photographer to take 500 dollars off of one of his packages by eliminating something that I really didn't care about to begin with.  Is there anything included in her package that you're willing to give up?  If she's not willing to change her prices to work within your budget, it's not a good sign anyway.  If that happens, keep looking.  You want good pictures because you'll have them forever.

Hi,I used lovestruckphotography.com.  I was reccomended to them by my sister in law whose friend used them.  You could ask analiza to see the photos from my wedding if you want, just ask to see karin and dexter's full wedding.  I got married in September and had booked her and her husband well in advance and to be honest at that time she was charging about $500 less for the six hour package.  She actually didn't have a six hour package only a four hour and an eight hour so i did the four hour and added two hours as our wedding site (croatian cultural center) had reccomended that we really only needed a photog for six hours.  she and her husband were nice, she took over 800 pictures and i like quite a few of them.  i must say though that our friends got married in may and they spent $5000 on their photographer and their pictures are amazing.  I think you really have to decide what you are looking for.  I was going for a budget friendly pretty good photographer where i would get the rights to all the pictures.   You can also get to my wedding pictures from her website just go to pricing then scroll all the way down to print orders and then to event gallery and then dexter and karin and then you will be prompted for a password.  If your interested in seeing them just let me know and i'll email you our password.

regarding the first photographer, are the two albums you looked at from around the same time? photographers tend to become more in tune with their personal style over time, so that could be a possibility why the albums seemed different.

Samp: Did the photos you get back have a fuzzy or blurry quality about them?

Some of the pictures were blurry, I know what you mean.  But the majority of them did not and I was ok in the end over the blurry ones because I had over 800 picutres and the majority of them I really liked.  Also, for whatever reason it seemed like when I was viewing them all from her website they seemed blurry, but then when she sent me the CD of them the ones that seemed blurry on the website weren't blurry on the CD.

    Samp:

She emailed me the link for a few categories, and I think yours might have been one of them, it was at the CACC. Maybe I'm going to be in town on Friday, so maybe I'll see if she will meet with me so I can look at an album and decided then. I'd much rather see them in person, they just looked too blurry for me online.
