I have checked out (or am in the process of checking out!) Freeport Bakery... Cake Castle... Ettores...

Any other places to check out?

village cake shoppe was pretty good. We ended up getting our cake locally in lodi though

We also checked out Shelton's Bakery. The samples are cute and delicious.

sweet cakes in elk grove makes their fondant from marshmallows so it (supposedly) tastes sweeter. havent had a chance to go over there yet, though!
