Budget Wedding in SF/Sacramento/Gold Country

Hi all,

Looking for any and all suggestions on managing wedding budget for a winter wedding.  We're looking at around 200 guests and trying to save as much money as possible.

Location can be either San Francisco or up to Sacramento -- Gold Country, as we have family in both locations.

Thanks!

I just looked into the Laguna Town Hall and they are reasonable as well. The inside has a nice ballroom. You can bring in your own caterer or have friends or family cook with the kitchen facilities there. The facility has tables and chairs already and they provide setup and cleanup. You just need to worry about linens, decor, etc.

Thanks so much for the suggestions!

Our goal is to keep the budget at maximum $10,000 for everything.  Right now, that's looking possible so long as we pick off-dates and maybe even do a cocktail reception instead of a typical sit-down plated meal.

The other issue we're running into is repeats: we have had a lot of friends get married in the areas we're looking at, and it seems like almost every interesting venue we find is somewhere someone we knew got married just before!  Super frustrating!

Fort Mason Center in SF has some pretty inexpensive venues, so you could check them out.  Or Golden Gate Park or Stern Grove in SF if you want an outdoor ceremony.  Harmony Wynelands in Lodi isn't too expensive and their meals have a huge range in price.  Some of the State Historic Parks in Sacramento aren't too expensive, either.

    That's fantastic; thanks so much!

We have been looking into possibly doing the ceremony at the Legion of Honor and then the reception somewhere else (to keep costs down).  Not sure if this is feasible, but were looking into a few of the buildings at the Presidio for possible reception sites.
