Looking For Outdoor Venue... HELP?

Hi!
I'm trying to find an outdoor venue in our area for the ceremony/reception. This has proven incredibly difficult.  For a few reasons...
We live in Colusa County.  - There is not a whole lot of anything in this county.
We want outdoors.
We don't want anything close to a city.
No golf clubs.
We are on a small budget.
My MOH and I have been scouring the internet... and are beginning to get discouraged.
I would really love to find that perfect place, with the perfect price-tag.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks so Much!
Naomi

    Hey Naomi
Where are you planning on getting married?  I am in Sonoma County and did all the scouring here already. I can share what I found if you'd like

Same question as above re: where - do you want something in the Colusa County area, or are you looking elsewhere as well?

I've heard really good things about McKinley Park in Sacramento, and the fee is only $140 for 3 hours.

Oops - just read the 'not close to a city' part.  Aimee8314 from this board just got married in Coloma.  Her wedding was really great - the ceremony was at the church there that is part of the state park and ceremony here (http://americanriverresort.com/tour/weddings.html), but they can also do the ceremony at the resort, and had this beautiful lawn and pond area that would be great for that.

Have you tried the California State Parks website and also any regional/county parks websites? You may have to look at each individual park page by page, but sometimes they will tell you if the park is available for "events".

What part of Colusa County do you live in? I currently live in Colusa and I am getting married in 5 weeks in Chico. What time of year are you gettting married? There is a RIce farmer just out side of Marysville who lets people have weddings on his property. When I called he told me he doesn't charge he said he "Just likes to throw parties" My fiance and I couldn't have it there because our wedding is during rice harvest. Anyways his name is Robert Matthews and he's a really nice guy. Let me know if you want his number. You can contact me at:
     mcousineau18@marykay.com.
I hope I can be of some assistance.
    Warmly,
    Monica

Thank you all for your input! Sorry it took so long to get back... Crazy life.
@Deanna - Sonoma is beautiful and they have a ton of great venues.
2 problems: They are pretty much all in the city. And they are way out of our price range.
@ mushE - The ARR looks really pretty! I sent off for more information. Thanks!
@vb0000 - Looking into the state parks idea! Thanks!
mcousineau18 - YAY! So nice to see another Colusa County girl on here! I am VERY interested in this Rice Farmer! Sounds like a wonderful idea.

Thank you all for your input!! I really appreciate it!

    OMG!

You have to look at the Victorian Rose of Biggs in Biggs.

I booked the venue for the ceremony and reception, food, cake, flatware, linens, cleanup and setup for under 3k.  It is an outdoor garden venue and the owner will also double for no charge as your Planner/ Day of Coordinator pretty much.

She is wonderful and her name is Wanda Nevins
