Wedding Problem

I sent out my invitations for my wedding in November and I'm really excited.

What do you do, when a family member invites another family member, who you don't want at your wedding?

When I got RSVPs back with extra guests, I called and said - I'm really sorry but we're having a small wedding and unfortunately while we would love to have more guests, we just can't afford anymore than we've already invited. I'm so sorry for the confusion.

Ditto Anglyn. Unless said family member is the significant other of the person you invited, I would call and explain that the invite was just for <name> and that unfortunately due to budget/space you are unable to accommodate any additional guests.

If they threaten not to come, just tell them that you're sorry and they'll be missed.

Thank you for helping me out.

It's so silly that this minor problem was driving me nuts!

It's just fustrating.  Thank you for your opinions.  I will stongly stick with my original plan and only have the original family members come.  And if they don't, then they will be missed.

    Thank you!
