Looking for a day-of coordinator.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a day-of coordinator?  So far, my experiences have been so-so. 
It still bugs me that I need to specify, but it's a gay wedding, so they've got to be on board for that.

APW has some not-nice things to say about theknot, but I'm of the opinion that whatever helps, helps, and people of goodwill should pass along good advice.

I have my own bones to pick with the knot.  "Feeling chilly?  Give your guests.... PASHAMINA SCARVES!"  (Is it a wedding or an episode of Oprah's Favorite Things?)  So, I tend to take it with a soupcon of salt.

The bigger "community" of theknot is helpful for some things. They've solved a couple registry issues for me, but APW is an important antidote.

I'm meeting with Elizabethfrom Lowe House Events in September (I found her on APW as well), if you get to her first let me know how it goes. She seems reallly great so far and it's nice to work with someone that shares my values and practicality when it comes to the budget. Cheers friend!
