Engagement Photo Locations

I am new to the board, I've been a lurker only because my wedding is in 2011.  So I am planning on doing my engagement photo session in the spring and need help with locations anywhere besides the beach. My photographer suggested Vasona Park but thats not what I had envisioned. I live in Santa Clara and I'm not wanting to travel to far.

    Maybe Santana Row? especially right now everything is sow pretty and lit up with tree decorations!
    My friend did engagement shoot there and it turned out awesome.
    That is if you want a more urbane/city feel

    I have seen photos from the Stanford campus that looked pretty nice, fountains and brick walls and greenery...good luck!
