Wedding reception locations in Bay Area/SF

Hi fellow brides!!
I am newly engaged and am searching for location to get married at.
We are having around 100-120 guests and want something unique - NOT a hotel ballroom or restaurant.
If you have any recommendations I would be forever grateful.

PS: We have looked at few wineries, Commodore yacht, Eagle Ridge banquet so far

Thomas Fogarty winery was my dream venue. It's breathtaking.

We also considered having the ceremony in Golden Gate Park at Shakespeare Garden, but parking would have been horrible.

What about the Ferry Building in SF? GL!

My hubby and I actually DID get married in the Shakespeare Garden in Golden Gate Park and it was beautiful. Also, parking wasn't a problem at all because its right next to the Academy of Sciences which has an underground parking garage about 30 feet from the Garden. Since the Academy closes at 5pm, the garage clears out. None of our guests had problems parking for our 5:30 ceremony!
You might also consider checking out the Hamlin Mansion, its pretty unique with nice views of the Bay.

im glad the garden worked out for you. we were looking into an afternoon ceremony on a saturday. for us, parking would have been a disaster. plus, we didn't want our guests to pay for parking.

Yeah I am not really looking to have a garden/park reception. I am going for more glam feel :-)
I'll check out the Hamlin Mansion though. Thanks!

My fiance and I are getting married this September, on the The Empress in Sausalito. We wanted an event to remember with a view, but didn't have an unlimited budget--hence, a yacht!

So far, the staff has been attentive and super friendly. They seem like they have their act together.

    Best wishes to you!

If it is within your buget, the James Leary Flood Mansion is breathtaking. It's actually just down the street from the Hamlin Mansion.

ETA: Asian Art museum, City Hall and Legion of Honor are interesting spaces also.

We got married at Eagle Ridge. It wasn't "glam" but it was beautiful! Especially with all our lighting, better chairs, and linens.

I would look at Hollins House. It's a bit old school glam. One of the guys from Smashmouth got married there.
