When is it fall in Sacramento?

I really want my wedding under a beautiful japanese maple tree in the grandparents front yard, just as it changes to the red, orange, yellow that is the basis for all of my wedding colors, theme and style. My parents are freaking out about the potential for rain. They wont let me do it outside in the fall, they want summer I'm trying to find a compromise of early leaf change low rainfall chances. So all of you Sacramento Natives when is the earliest fall leaves turn?

Why not bring the fall in?  Are you against a late summer wedding? It really doesn't start raining here in Sacramento till about mid november. Course I'm no weather man! wink

I would actually say late Sept-early Oct would be best to actually have the leaves still on the trees.
I'm a florist in Sac and could help you with flowers if you want.
