After dinner we have the option to pay by the drink or continue with the unlimited per hour rate. My mom and I are trying to figure out whats the most budget friendly but also continue the open bar all night. We have a feeling the "older guests" will take off after dinner and people may slow down on the alcohol consumption. The prices at our venue are around $5-6 for beer/wine and $7-8 for hard alcohol per drink. Should we do by the drink after dinner is over? Any suggestions would be great!!

    It depends on if your crowd is drinkers or not. Honestly "free" wedding bars tend to bring out the drinker in just about anyone. If i was paying, I would probably have one or two drinks. If It was free I would probably have three or four. Drinking usuaully picks up before and after dinner since eating isnt slowing people down.
