I live in downtown San Rafael- are you looking at the Falkirk?  We are famous for our Indian Summers in Sept./Oct. but it is Nor Cal and it can be testy.

I work in San Rafael.  This last year it was cool in the evening. And October is when you may start to get into the rainy season.  But it could also be one of those years with an indian summer!
