Holy Crapola! 10 Days!

I'm so excited! It's so strange to be saying ten days  when it seems like not too long ago I was saying ten months. Thankfully, as opposed to then, I only have a few things left on the checklist. I'm most of the way done putting together the programs, menus, placecards, table numbers, table assignments, and candy buffet signs. I finished the seating plan last night, which ended up being much easier than I anticipated. And I meet with the coordinator for our reception venue today (eee!) to pay off the balance and get the floor plan worked out and linens ordered. The only things left are to pick up my dress, get the beverages, and then add all our little touches the day of the rehearsal.

I can't wait!!!

What do the rest of you ladies have left? What worries you most? The only thing I'm a little bummed about is that the candy for the buffet cost sooo much more than I had budgeted (darn Halloween pricing) that I no longer can afford to have my makeup done.

I can't believe it's only 10 days!  It seems so soon, but also so far away between last minute dealings with the venue and work!

we still have the write up a list of who is eating what (for the servers), write name cards, finish my bouquet and assemble the centrepieces.

as for the makeup:  i have  friend who is a MUA so she and I swapped services...she does all the make up for my wedding adn i do her photography.  maybe you can look at a local cosmetology school and see if anyone needs some portfolio building!

I have 17 days left and I am happy to report that I don't have much left to do.  I just have to print out programs, menus and escort cards and only have a few random things left to do.  All of it should be done within the next week or so.

Sorry your candy cost more then you expected; mine did too but I bought it from a local candy store since I really wanted to go with my color scheme.

I'm flipping out over our alcohol stuff. The difference between per person consumption vs. "traditional" open bar is stressing me out. I'm still talking with my mom to figure it all out. However, on a high note, we will have my (and FI's) favorite beer at the wedding - Dogfish Head!  We get a selection of their seasonal drafts, which will be lovely.

I'm also flipping out over my final fitting tomorrow. I feel like a giant cow due to the fact that I'm creeping up on "that time of the month". I swear, if biology betrays me on my wedding day (and night) I will murder someone.  Ok. not really. I'll probably just pout and have an extra piece of cake.

Also, I so do not want to be at work or have to submit end of quarter grades the day before my wedding.  Bleh.

JennaBird I loved your post!! haha I agree- have an extra piece of cake and pull off a Carrie from Sex and the City, "If anyone asks, I had two pieces of cake, not three." :-)

I'm a 10/20 bride too and CAN'T wait! 

Things left:

1. Pick up dress

2. Make sure FI has shoes (really, not kidding)

3. Get together tips in envelopes for the big day

4. Put final touches on my vows

Congrats to all the 10/20 brides (and all brides). So close!

I'm so excited! Most of the stuff I have to do is running around and picking up/delivering things.

I am doing my makeup mostly...but a friend is doing my smokey eye and eyelashes...so we are doing it together!
I go for my final dress fitting today!!!!!!!!  In a short 2 hours!!!!!  Can't wait!!!!  Taking a long lunch to do it!

FI and I had some down time last night and it was just what I needed...thanks Jenna
After our downtime..FI mixes up a couple of cocktails...we put kids to bed...go upstairs and hammer out what we want the officiant to say!!!!!  We had three samples of things we liked....took all three of them and pieced and parted our way to getting everything in order of what we want him to say!!!  So excited...this definitely helped get me on track to being excited again!!!!
I am going to try to finish the centerpiece for the buffet table tonight...will post pics tomorrow!!!

Yay!! It's ten days for us too!! I'm so excited to see my year and a half of hard work pan out. It's been quite a journey doing this all on my own. My FI has been great but there are things that just have to be done by me.
I've just completed my seating and menu selections. I have all hair and makeup confirmed and to a time line. What I'm working on now is updating and changing our DJ list. I'm a little worried he's going to throw in too many oldies since he's about 60! lol

I have some DIY projects for our place card display but the cards are done... I've been planning our wedding out of town so I'm a little anxious but I know I have great vendors.

Here's to having a great 10/20/12 wedding and a happy marriage!!!

I'm going to have to dig out that episode to watch tonight!  It is one of my favorites.

Jessi - I'm so glad that you found a nice, NWR way to spend time with your FI and get back to "normal".  :)

10 days, it is so crazy!!!!!!!!

I'm SO thankful it's so close because I am SO ready to marry FI. It's just so weird that it is so close after feeling so far away for so long. :-)

I've got quite a few odds and ends to do. We meet with our DJ tomorrow. My mom is picking up my dress on Friday and my "Bachelorette party" is Friday night. I've got my overnight/carry-on bag ready for the wedding night and Honeymoon. I also need to make signs for some of the tables, get pens for the Guest Book and make signs for our dressng rooms.

I need to finish packing for the Honeymoon and also moving my stuff into our apartment. I'm very ready to be out of my parents' house, but it's kind of sad to think the house won't be "my house" anymore.

FI and I will go get our marriage license Monday morning :-).
