Wedding Songs?

So the one part of the wedding I've been obsessed with since the very beginning of the engagement has been planning the songs for the ceremony and reception.  I fell in love with Vitamin String Quartet (thanks to another knottie) and was thinking of using their instrumental version of Taylor's Swift's "Love Story" and Coldplay's "Clocks" as the bridal party entrace to the wedding and the Beatles "All You Need is Love" as the recessional.  I picked these out b/c I thought my church would only require Christian or Instrumental music.  However, I just found out I use any music I want!  So now I'm rethinking all my music plans.  So to give ideas I want to know what songs you used/plan to use for:

*Bridal Party Processional
*Bridal Entrance
*Recessional
*1st Dance
*Father/Daughter
*Mother/Son
*Cake Cutting
*Bouqet Toss
*Garter Toss
*Last Dance

We don't know everything yet but we know a few so I'll share what we do have:

    *Bridal Party Processional: ?
*Bridal Entrance: Cannon in D (I danced to this growing up so it was a no brainer for me)
    *Recessional: ?
*1st Dance: Harvest Moon (Pearl Jam's version)
*Father/Daughter: The Way You Look Tonight (Frank, my dad is a huge fan.  I originally wanted to do "I've Got You Under My Skin" b/c my dad always used to sing it but after really listening to the lyrics, it's so not appropriate lol)
*Mother/Son:  ? Leaving this up to FI
    *Cake Cutting:  Sugar Sugar, maybe.
*Bouqet Toss:  (Not sure if we're doing this)
*Garter Toss: (Not sure if we're doing this)
*Last Dance: Save the Last Dance

Sorry not much help but I look forward to reading other responses :)

    Here is what we used:

*Bridal Party Processional/Bride's entrance - Ben Folds, "The Luckiest" (instrumental, played by two musician friends)
    *Recessional - Ode to Joy
*1st Dance - Ingrid Michaelson, "The Way I Am"
    *Father/Daughter - Loudon Wainwright, "Daughter"
*Mother/Son - Beatles, "In My LIfe"
*Cake Cutting - Cake, "Love You Madly"
*Bouqet Toss - Beyonce, "Single Ladies"
*Garter Toss - Van Halen, "Hot for Teacher" (ode to my career choice)
*Last Dances - Bon Jovi, "Livin' on a Prayer" and Journey, "Don't Stop Believing"

Other musical highlights of the evening included playing an hour of Vitamin String Quartet for our cocktail hour and Rick Rolling (yup) our wedding.  (This resulted in nearly ll of our guests erupting into cheers and hysterical laughter and is now remembered as a Great Moment in Wedding History by a number of our friends.)

We just had this discussion on the South Jersey Board, minus the ceremony music:

Bridal Party Processional:  Erev Shel Shoshanim (traditional Jewish song)

Bride's Entrance:  Dodi Li (traditional Jewish song)

Recessional:  Simon Tov (traditional Jewish song)

    Reception Entrance(s):

    Parents:  The Rocky Theme

BP:  I Gotta Feeling, Black Eyed Peas
FI & Me:  Crazy In Love, Beyonce

First Dance:   If I Ain't Got You, Alicia Keys

Father-Daughter Dance:  Unforgettable, Nat & Natalie Cole version

Mother- Son Dance:  sadly, no mother-son dance.  FMIL cannot stand, let alone stand and sway.

Cake Cutting:  How Sweet It Is, James Taylor

Garter Toss:  Ain't No Other Man, Christina Aguilera

Bouquet Toss:   Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Cyndi Lauper

    Last Song:  Dancing Queen, ABBA

Oodsie - you have a lot of the same songs I've been considering!  I guess I should put what I'm thinking about now:

*Bridal Party Processional - Vitamin String Quartet - Love Story (Taylor Swift)

*Bridal Entrance - Vitamin String Quartet - Clocks (Coldplay)

*Recessional - Vitamin String Quartet - All You Need is Love (Beatles)

*Reception Entrace Bridal Party - Bad Romace (Lady Gaga) *this may change

*Reception Entrance Bride/Groom - This is a debate between FI and I.  I want to come into Crazy in Love and switch it up to the chorus of Single Ladies and have us do the Single Ladies dance.  FI refuses - BUT he says he'll do the Everybody Backstreet's Back dance - so we may break out some old school Backstreet Boys.

*1st Dance - You and Me (Lifehouse)

*Father/Daughter - My Wish (Rascall Flats)

*Mother/Son - I Hope You Dance (Leann Womack)

*Cake Cutting - I want Sugar, Sugar.  FI wants Eat It (Weird Al) - I may just give him that one.

*Bouqet Toss - Single Ladies (Beyonce)

*Garter Toss - SexyBack (Justin Timberlake) *will probably change

*Last Dance - Livin on a Prayer (Bon Jovi); but for last slow song I want it to be Today was a Fairytale (Taylor Swift)

Credit to squirrly over on E - I fell in LOVE with her ceremony music. I had been searching forever to find what I wanted and just couldn't put my finger on it, and she had exactly what I wanted. I have changed a few things, but most of the credit goes to her :)

*Bridal Party Processional - Clocks - St. Martin's Symphony of Los Angeles
    *Bridal Entrance - 1, 2, 3, 4 - St. Martin's Symphony of Los Angeles
*Recessional - Beautiful Day - The Rock Heroes
    *1st Dance - Everything - Michael Buble
    *Father/Daughter - Cinderella - Steven Curtis Chapman
    *Mother/Son - My Wish - Rascal Flatts
*Cake Cutting - Kashmir - Led Zeppelin
    *Bouqet Toss - L.O.V.E. - Ashlee Simpson
*Garter Toss - Not sure yet

YES! They are awesome! I can't take credit though... I found squirrly's playlist and she is using 1, 2, 3, 4 by them and I just absolutely loved it! We are going to use Vitamin String Quartet songs for some prelude songs.

Also - oodsie, I love the NFL theme song for the garter toss :)

*Bridal Party Processional - Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana (by Mascagni)
*Bridal Entrance - Same as above, there is a natural break in the music
*Recessional - Not sure yet, we have a string trio, I'm thinking All You Need is Love by the Beatles.
    * Reception Entrance - The Way You Make Me Feel, Michael Jackson
*1st Dance - You Are The Best Thing, Ray LaMontagne
*Father/Daughter - The Way You Look Tonight, Sinatra
*Mother/Son - Bridge Over Troubled Water, Simon and Garfunkle
*Cake Cutting - we're still trying to decide!
*Bouqet Toss - not doing one
*Garter Toss - not doing one
*Last Dance - Save The Last Dance, Michael Buble

Special Surprise Groom Performance - maybe Don't Stop Believing, Journey.  FI is a musician, so it might be fun for him to join the band for a number.

I admit.... I haven't heard of Vitamin or St. Martins.  For those of you who used them, did you use recorded music or have a live group play their versions??

*Bridal Party Processional -- was supposed to be Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley (instrumental) but our church coordinator thought it was the classical Hallelujah song and therefore waited until the entire Buckley Hallelujah was over before sending the girls down the aisle to some song our piano player improvised..

*Bridal Entrance -- Canon in D, this was my mom's one big request

*Recessional -- traditional Irish song played by bagpiper

*1st Dance -- I'll Be Satisfied by Ryan Shaw

*Father/Daughter -- My Girl by The Temptations

*Mother/Son -- Loves Me Like a Rock by Paul Simon

*Cake Cutting -- I think Sugar, Sugar -- we didn't discuss any of the next three songs with our entertainment so they just played whatever, this was a mistake
*Bouqet Toss -- Single Ladies (see above, just not my style, I hate this song)
*Garter Toss -- no idea, again see above

*Last Dance -- Piano Man by Billy Joel.  We had dueling pianos as our entertainment and all of the guests circled us and the pianos and belted it out, and I held the harmonica while the one guy played it.  Such a great way to end the wedding.
