What was the point of STDs?!

We sent our Save The Dates back in February/March.  Since we have a ton of family, and only a handful of out of towner's, I sent the STD to everyone.

Now as RSVPs are coming back from out of towners, they're all saying NO!  Which is fine, as it saves me some money, but seriously... I told y'all about this wedding in FEBRUARY...  And some of them are writing on the card the reason why they can't make it which I totally love, because then at least I know they saw the STD.

Just a mild vent.

I know, it sucks.  You feel like it was such a waste of money.  At least they're sending in their RSVPs!

I understand your frustration, we are dealing with an unexpected family reunion scheduled for the weekend before our wedding and all the out-of-state family and even some in-state are opting for the reunion instead of our wedding.

I know, I have people who are saying they are having scheduling conflicts!!!! Which kind of sounds like, something I want to do more than go to your wedding has come up. But oh well, I don't want you here if you don't want to come!

This! I have had a few say a reason. Some was money (everyone is traveling to a destination), but there were a couple of people who had 2 weddings in one weekend, which I understand they had to pick one. There are a few that have put in their requests for the weekend off and they're frustrated that they haven't been able to tell us if they can come....which they really want to. So we'll see...... Hopefully it gets better and the ones who want to be there and celebrate your day will come. :-)

I've had 2 invites come back to me, undeliverable.  One was easily fixed, the other I'm still waiting on an address from my FMIL.  Rawr.
