Bday Party this weekend - what mixed drink to make?

I am turning 28 this Wednesday (Ahhh! Almost at 30!!) and we're having a party with friends and family on Saturday.  We are going to make some different Italian dishes, since that's my fav food, and I would like to have red and white wine as well as a mixed drink.  I don't drink a lot, so I have no idea what kind of drink to make.  What would go good with the following food items?

Spaghetti with Italian Sausage
Chicken Carbanara
Three Meat Lasagna (beef, sausage, and pepperoni)
Cheese Ravioli
Salad with Italian Dressing
Desserts - Tiramisu and Vanilla Bean Cheesecake

  • Something bubbly could be fun. When we do Italian like that I like to get a bottle of prosecco (similar to champagne but not french) and you can mix in just about anything. My personal favorite is a bit of pomegranate juice.

  • What about some kind of martini?  There are so many to choose from...dirty...pomegranate...chocotale... I could go on.

I also like vanilla vodka and ginger ale.

  • Sangria (red wine, gingerale or sprite and fresh fruit chunks - I love raspberrys and peaches). Peachy Tea is also a classic (make one can of frozen lemonade and one can of iced tea, in a third pitcher combine half of each and add vodka and peach schnapps to taste).

  • That Peachy Tea sounds good and we actually have a ton of vodka at the house, so that might be a good one to do.  I also like the bubbly drink idea.  This is going to be a hard decision!  Thanks ladies!!

  • Similar to PP, I was going to suggest vodka lemonade (use crystal light for less sugar) with some club soda to add bubbles.  It is SO easy to make and refreshing!

  • Love the bubbly idea...my friends and I recently had a "mimosa bar" party. A bunch of champagne (prosecco or asti) and a variety of juices to mix in. It was fun to mix and match!

  • Moscato D'Asti is a white dessert wine that is bubbly and so yummy!

For a mixed drink, maybe goombay smash (you can get ingredients online)? I love making a big batch of it.

Or maybe a mojito (bubbly), after an italian dinner I love drinking one of these for the minty tast. Like leaving Olive Garden with a mint. :)

    Good Luck!!
