gifts for parents and wedding party

I was wondering if I have to give the gifts at the rehearsal dinner. I feel weird giving people gifts in front of other people like that. Also I'm giving MOH jewelry that she could wear at the wedding if she wanted so I kind of wanted to give it to her earlier, and we are having dinner with both sets of parents a few nights before and I thought that would be a good time. Thoughts?

I've been wondering the same thing too.  We're going to give gifts seperately to the parents at least since we won't be giving anything to his dad who hasn't been very involved in his life.  I haven't figured out a better time for the bridesmaid gifts though so I think I have to give them their gifts at the rehearsal dinner. Are you doing anything with your girls before hand like going out for mani-pedis or anything? I know when I was younger and in my cousins wedding she had a brunch and gave her gifts then? I would much prefer to do something like that except not everyone's in the same place anymore.

All us girls are getting together the at the hotel after the RD to do manis/pedis, so I'll do their gifts then. Parents gifts we're giving privately. I don't have a relationship with my dad and his dad passed, so we're going to treat our moms individually to a nice day out when we get back from the honeymoon.
