Of course it makes yogurt! I love BBB and I totally already make my own yogurt in a crockpot... I did not realize that they made machines specifically for that! Have you ever made it like that? I guess I am wondering if a special machine is necessary if you can just do it in the crockpot, you know?

I haven't made it myself in a crockpot since mine is tempermental and I generally stick with tried and true recipes for it. I like the yogurt maker since you make it in individual portion sizes so I can pop one in my lunch and take it with me rather than having to transfer to another tupperwear container.

Is a special machine necessary? No, but for me I like the convenience factor of it and with my life convenience is key.
