October 2012 Weddings

Checks and a question.

So MOH2 and I went and got her dress this afternoon! She's the last who needed to get her dress so I can finally check this off the list!

Afterwards I went shopping and found some ivory lace panties to wear on the wedding day. I cannot find a strapless bra that fits properly and I've tried on about 10.  I'm thinking I'll either go braless (corset back dress so support is good) or have them sew in cups. What is everyone doing??

Re: Checks and a question.

  • I'm having cups sewn in. Then again, I dont have a chest so there's nothing to worry about. The cups are to make it look like I fill in the dress.

  • I am pretty sure I will go braless. I also have a corset back.

  • I am wearing a bustier, but I only wear a B to C cup and I don't think my dress would look good without it. I don't know what your dress looks like, but I would go with sewn in cups. I think it gives it more shape.

  • My dress is also a corset dress and it would work fine without a bra.  I still got one because I don't want to be standing there mostly naked while people are helping me into it!

  • I have a corset-back but with a modesty panel. I'm wearing a full-length bra from David's. I wear a DDD-F so there's no way I could go without or with just sewn-in cups!

  • When I purchased my dress I also purchased the longline bra I was using to try the dresses on.  It held everything in place and I felt very comfortable in the bra.  I am a C cup (down from a DD over the last few months) and the girls just aren't what they used to be so support is needed :-)

<div>Same here...except without the drop in size.  I love that not only does it hold the girls up it holds my middle in.</div>

  • My dress is a corset back and i am having cups sewn in. When i tried it on it didnt look right with a strapless bra, and I also tried it with those "chicken cutlet" inserts to give me a boost, but bc the dress is fitted, when i sat down, my boobs, which are not very big (maybe a full B) I felt were under my chin, so I just want cups sewn in.
  • Congrats on the check!  Very pretty dress!

I am wearing a strapless bra, and even though it doesn't fit perfectly, the corset back is holding it all in the right places.  I just need the strapless bra to provide better shape and more support.  I can't find cups in my size, but if they were available, I would just get those sewn in.  Although, I am glad that I have the strapless bra because as PP said, I don't want to be half naked in front of everyone.

  • Dana - WOW! Huge congrats on your weight loss. I'm following a similar journey now and I hope I can have as much success as you!

I'm honestly afraid of the girls getting smaller as I lose weight - so far they haven't, but since I've lost a band size, I've ended up going up a cup size in some bras. Ack!
