Make sure you check with the location of the wedding and caterer... typically they are going to want to have a firmer headcount before, and will have advice on what date should you use - even go a few days earlier for stragglers. We have a Oct 6th date, and we are asking for RSVP by the 15th of September.

We have Sept 21st for our Oct 6th wedding. Caterer doesn't need the head count until 3 days before.

Our RSVP date is 4 weeks before our wedding. Our caterer needs to know 3 weeks out, so this gives me a week to get in touch with the late responders.

Our venue needs final count three days before.  We have RSVP date of Oct 6th for our Oct 20th wedding.

Again... too many people to call when they don't RSVP... voted 6 weeks cause that's 1st week of september.  Should I also mention that I am Type B hyper-organized????

September 8th deadline for an Oct. 6th wedding.  We don't need the numbers for venue until 3 days before, but wanted time for stragglers and to make personalized table cards, etc.   We also have the majority of our guests OOT and September 8th matches the hotel reservation deadline and thought that would help guests keep it straight.

We are doing about 4 weeks ahead of time. We are having a pig roast, and making side dishes (or family is making some) and need enough time to calculate & make them!
