Trying to motivate...

to go to the gym.  I really hate my gym, so going there is like pulling teeth to me.  I need to go, but the thought of going there stinks.  It's not so humid today, so I could go for a walk outside and at least when I've had enough, I still need to get back home.

Re: Trying to motivate...

  • I'm the same way.  It's raining here, so exercising outside is out.  Not really excited about getting ready and driving in the rain to get to the gym either, but I'll do it!
  • i know what you mean! ive actually found that im wayyyy more motivated at home. i get dvds and wii fitness games, clear out a space in my living room, and go nuts!

  • The closest gym for me is 30 minutes. So its kind of out. I usually will go walking or do DVDs I feel much better in the comfort of my own home. I wish I had some weights or something for resistance though. I really want to start working on my arms and I'm pretty sure the best way to do that is weights.

  • I am usually awful about going to the gym but since FI and I switched its not so bad.  We have a routine that we do each day of the week.  It also helps that we have a workout partner that FI trains too.  Do you have anyone to go to the gym with?  That usually helps alot.

  • I keep telling myself I need to go exercise but can't find the motivation. I just found a groupon or living social for a month of unlimited dance/fitness classes for $19 and they have Zumba-which I LOOOVE so I think that I will be doing that and perhaps that will keep me going. fingers crossed!

  • I hate working out so much, even work out partners don't help me.  I used to go to a gym with a good friend and every day I would give her another excuse why I couldn't go that day.  She isn't a very tough person, so she would usually just give in to my ridiculous excuses.  I walked my dog, didn't do an extended walk because he's old and it's too much for him.  I am watching my nephew later, so maybe I'll take him out for a walk, at least pushing his stroller will give me some resistance.  Good luck motivating to you all!
