Shower Thank You Notes CHECK!

I just dropped off my 60-ish thank you notes in the mail (yes, I had a huge bridal shower)!  

I gave myself a 2 week deadline to get them done (my shower was 8/11), and I'm happy to report that I finished 3 days ahead of schedule LOL!

Now I just have a few more to finish up for guests who could not make it to the shower, but mailed their gifts instead.  FI and I received 3 more gifts this week, so I'll be writing those thank yous this weekend.  So, I guess I'm not 100% done but the bulk of them are in the mail!

lol I also had a two week deadline. They are all written, they'll be addressed tonight come hell or high water and in the mail by tomorrow afternoon.

That's awesome!! I never realized how much work it took to actually write that many thank you notes...after shower thank yous, I'm dreading writing the wedding thank yous!!

Great job! I'm dreading whenever my shower is and having to write all them out! My hand already hurts just thinking about it!

My shower is this Saturday and I'm very excited. Not so excited about writing out thank yous lol.

My shower was Saturday and mine are already done! I had a HUGE shower as well, so I think I wrote about 60... put them in the mail yesterday. I wanted get them done ASAP because school starts up again next week and I just wanted them out of the way!!

</div><div>I also spent a lot of time on each one to really make them personal.  I hate it when I give a gift and someone writes a thank you that just says "Thanks for the gift, love Jane" (or the worst was just a photocard with no handwritten note whatsoever! Not even the envelope was hand addressed, they used labels. Or the times I've had to address my own thank you at someone else's shower!)  I really tried to express my gratitude in each one because I really do appreciate not only the gift, but the thought and love behind each one.  As you can see, my mom raised me to appreciate the value of a sincere and gracious thank you note.</div>

I already pre-addressed mine... maybe that's a little presumptuous.  I plan to do that before the wedding too.

I have started mine because some people have just been sending me shower gifts before my shower next week (in Iowa).  I sent out 2 yesterday and will probably send out another tomorrow....but I think I'm going to wait to give my BMs their at the shower with a gift.

My shower is this Saturday. I plan to do them Sunday at work since I have a schedule from hell for the next 6 weeks. I want those sucker in the mail by Monday.

I have my shower his past Saturday and wrote out my thank you notes on Sunday. I know that if I put it off for a few days it would suddenly be weeks later and I'd feel horrible. Thankfully I only had about 20 to write, but I am also a fan of handwritten addresses and a note that thanks them for the specific gift they gave me.

I had three showers in August back to back to back.  I found a system that really worked for me.  I would write out what I wanted to say in a word document checking my spelling and make sure I didn't miss anything.  I would then just copy what I wrote on the note card.  This made for fewer to no mistakes on the thank you notes.  Also,  I had FI write out the names on the envelopes.  I think I did about 80 - thank you notes!  So glad i'm done.  I did mine under a week for each shower.
