Shower gifts

So my first shower is this Sunday and we received our first shower gift in the mail today!  I was so excited to open it from Crate & Barrel, but when I did it was broken! :(  It was my glass cake plate/dome.  Now I have to figure out how to return it!!

  • Well that kinds stinks. I've heard that C&B has pretty crummy packaging. I'd give them a call and find out what the return policy is.

  • This happened to one of our CB gifts as well. They were actually awesome about replacing it promptly. I called the day we received it and within a few days we received our new serving platter. They told us to just throw out the broken platter.

I just called and this is what they told me too.  Very easy and helpful, but seriously, sounds like they need to find a better way to package their fragile items.  Hopefully they package the new one a little better.

  • That stinks!  I am glad it was such an easy fix for you.  You would think that they would rethink their shipping process if it is so common that the customer service people know to tell people to just throw out damaged products.

  • That's such a bummer!! I've had several C & B gifts shipped to our house and (knock on wood!!) haven't had any issues yet....

<div>Glad to hear it worked out! I agree about the need for a packaging upgrade. Maybe it was just the customer service person I was talking to, but the way he was talking seemed like he gets that same call a lot.</div>
