We are less than a week out and.......
its official, we fired the DJ Service tonight, the one who we booked back in February, the one who didn't have us sign a contract and then double booked the DJ they assigned us and didn't bother to look at any of our paperwork to find this error the two times we met with them over the summer, and then proceded to assign us another DJ without telling us.
I had been trying to get ahold of him for the last couple weeks to confirm our last appointment that was supposed to be Monday evening. He never responded to the voicemails or emails. My FI went as far as to find him on facebook on Friday and sent him a message, not even 5 minutes later he called my phone, in which I couldn't answer because I was busy at work with a customer. He left a message then that stated they had a glitch in the system and had to change our DJ due to a double booking. All of these issues that came up were Red Flags with us, and we came to the conclusion that since we didn't have a contract signed with them, we were going to part ways, we had lost faith in them.
So before we 'fired' them, we found someone else to take over, and it happens to be someone I went to school with who works for a well-known DJ Service in the area. We were very lucky to find out he didn't have anything scheduled for next weekend, and agreed right away to take over and rock our Wedding!
We are also getting our $200 deposit back from the previous DJ, and our new DJ is giving us a great deal to do our Ceremony and Reception. HUGE RELIEF!!!!
