I am doing the thumbprint tree guest book. What should my instructions say?

The only thing I've seen so far is - Please ink your finger and sign your name, to "leaf" your mark on our wedding tree. And I'm not crazy about it.

Also,

I want to do a sign that says please sit wherever but everything I've seen says "pick a seat, not a side". And I dont like that either. 

So......does anyone have suggestions? I would envy your creativity if you did.

So in the years to come we know who helped our marriage grow

 

for seating you could say

 

Come as you are, stay as long as you can, we're all family, so no seating plan.

I saw a cute seating sign on Pinterest this morning:
"Friend of the bride? Friend of the groom? Sit wherever you'd like, there's plenty of room!"

make sure you have wet wipes or something for guests to wipe off their thumb!!
