Who's doing a boudoir session?

I really want to do one but so nervous about being sexy and exposed in front of someone that I've only meet a couple of times.  I've been reading up on ways to do it on your own, but I'm worried they won't come out as good.  I have a pinterest board of different inspiration pics and maybe if I drink a couple glasses of wine, put on some music and wait til FI is out of town, I'll be able to pull it off!!

Anyone else brave enough to do this?

I thought about doing it, but in the end I'm just not comfortable enought with my body at this point. I'm comfortable enough for e-pics and wedding pictures but not half naked pictures.

Perhaps I can work up the courage to do it for an anniversary gift. A friend of mine did it just before she and her H started trying to have their son. I might do that if we have kids.

That is the reason I picked my photog! I saw his boudoir photos and thought awesome. However, I have since punked out (lol) and FI was not really comfortable with  our man photog doing it.

I've been into photography for years and plan on doing it myself. I will be so much more comfortable in that situation.

You could start by doing self-portraits of yourself and when you feel more comfortable go for broke! Try it!

I did it for a wedding present for fi. The photographer was very professional and made me feel comfortable. Unfortunately I don't like the pictures and am debating on weather I want to give them to my fi. I know he would like it, but I'm a little too self concious about it now.

I did one for valentine's day, but Im not going to do a wedding one.  I had a Groupon for mine.  I really never thought I could do "somthing like that."  But it really was a lot of fun and I didnt feel wierd at all.  The pictures came out great!  If you do them make sure that your photographer specialize in this type of photo and has good recomendations.  Also, when choosing your "outfits" make sure they fit you well and portray the attitude/style that you want your pictures to have.

I think I'm going to.  There is a deal for one on groupon that I'm really thinking about doing.  I checked out her wedding photos and she seems pretty reputable.  I too am nervous about taking sexy pictures though!

I was going to do it as a suprise for FI, but he found out. Oh well I'm still doing it. I am a little nervous since our photographer is good friends with FI but FI said he could care less if photographer 'sees me like that' and apparently photographer says 'it's just work'.....

I know FI would love it, so I think I'm going to do it as a wedding gift for him! I've seen some great groupon deals for it recently. I'm definitely a little nervous about it though.

Yes, absolutely. With my weight loss, I feel amazing in a way I never have before. I'm waiting til about a month before the wedding so I can get off even more weight. I plan to find a photographer who specializes in boudiour, and I plan to specifically ask to see a portfolio of plus-sized models. I've seen some that can shoot great with a model-figured woman, but put a full-figured woman in front of them and they just can't find ways to flatter her. I'll make sure to select outfits that flatter the right parts and hide the wrong ones, too!

I really want to do it too!  My FI is a photographer and I know he would love to be the photographer.  I am planning on waiting and setting everything up for the photos so that when he comes home I will be ready to go!  I really am excited I just don't know when to do it! Thinking of doing it in Aug. on the anniversary of our engagement.  I think it will be fun and also a pretty sexy way to spend an evening!!  

Do it if you want too!!!  Maybe ask a friend of yours (girl) if you feel more comfy with that! OR set it up as a surprise but have him there with you!  Might be kind of cool to have a few with him in them too!!

I would like to, but I haven't really looked into it yet. I would like to slim down just a little bit more before I do it also. Of course that may end up being an excuse not to do it, but we'll see.

I'm totally doing it! I purchased a groupon for a boudoir session. I actually have an appt at the end of this mounth to get them done. It was only $20 and it includes airbrush makeup and hair as well. I'm super excited!

I'm totally doing them! Booked the shoot for August 31st, so excited. So from now until then I'll be living at the gym! lol

Is anyone brining any 'props' with them? I was thinking about FI's sports jersey or his guitar.... I'm not too sure about this one.

I brought my FI shirt and tie with me. I also brought some books (im a librarian).  Mostly though I didnt want prop photos, I wanted romantic ones.

I thought about having a girlfriend take the pictures for me, but I'm not even comfortable with that.  I'm just gonna have to do it myself and I've read up on it more over the weekend, and there's a little remote that you can use to take the picture without having to push the button on the camera.  I'm hoping I can get one of those for the camera I have and that it's not expensive.  They also said to put a stuffed animal or other small object where the you will be and to focus the camera on that then just move it when you are ready to take the picture.

Hopefully they come out good because I'm not going to do it any other way.  Plus, I don't think FI would be comfortable with me getting half naked in front of someone, male or female.
