Day of Schedule

Hey ya'll!

As our day is approaching, I am trying to put together a day of schedule for the wedding. Has anyone done their day of schedule yet? Especially you 1:30 p.m./early afternoon brides. I think that a tight schedule is going to be necessary since I'm having a day wedding. Anyone care to share? Thanks!

Re: Day of Schedule

  • There's a sticky at the top of the page entitled "Timelines".  That's where everyone is dropping their day of schedules as they get completed.

I am in the SAME boat.. my ceremony starts at 1:30pm! So as of now, we are thinking we need to start getting ready at 7:30am.. I have 5 BM's plus myself.. all of whom have long, thick, and/or curly unruly hair! Then have the makeup artist coming as well.  Have to be at the church by 1:15 at the latest.. so yeah I am thinking an early morning start is going to happen!  What are you thinking? I feel like the majority have later afternoon start times!

I have 5 bridesmaids as well. 7:30 sounds like a pretty good time to start getting ready. I will have my bridesmaids with me in my suite over night so that I don't have to worry about anyone running late. I'm meeting with my hair stylist in the near future, so I will see what she tells me. No doubt it will be an early morning!

  • I need to work on mine.  My wedding is at 3:30 p.m. on a Sunday (10/7).  I don't have a bridal party to worry about, but I do have to worry about getting the ceremony/reception site to get ready.  I'm hoping to delegate a lot of that responsibility, so I can go to my hair appointment at 12:30 p.m. and get ready after that.
  • I have 5 bridesmaids and two moms getting make up and hair done.  :-)

the ceremony starts at 2 p.m. Everyone needs to be done by 12:30 p.m. Thats 4.5 hours to get everyone done.

  • We actually have a 10:00am ceremony (yikes!).  I finally gave up on the idea of everyone getting ready together.  Half of us are getting ready at one salon (my appt. is at 6:15 am, and the rest start around 7:30 and should finish up by 8:30 or so).  The other half of us are getting ready at one of the girls' houses.  They are having 2 stylists come to the house to do all their hair.  They are, in fact, meeting us at the church, as it would add an extra hour onto their morning to meet at my parents house.  Not ideal...but at least we'll all be ready on time!
  • Our ceremony is at 2 pm.
Myself + 6 BM hair and make up + 2 moms hair and make up

6 am- 10 am Hair & Makup begins
9:30-10 am Bridesmaid and MOB and MOG dresses on
    10 am-10:30 My dress on
10:30 am-11 am Drive to the church
11 am-12 pm First look and photos with fiance and bridal party in the church
    12-1 pm Family photos
    1:15-1:45 pm Lunch/relax/touch up
    2pm Ceremony start time
    2:15 Walk down the aisle!

Our day of coordinator and photographer suggested we add 15 minutes to most items on the adgenda simply b/c something will come up.(I know my family will run late getting to the church and I know one BM in particular that is always, no matter what, late b/c she forgot this or that.
You're rather have a buffer time built in the schedule than freaking out b/c you're rushing.
